Adams Power has been in the Elkhorn, WI area since 1988. We provide electrical, plumbing, and HVAC solutions along with power and solar solutions to industrial, commercial and residential customers.
We are seeking our next Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Estimator to join our Generator Division at our Elkhorn, WI location. As a C&I Estimator, you will provide cost estimates and proposals for standby power projects in various sectors. You will work with different teams to design and deliver customized solutions that meet customer needs and comply with codes and standards.
The schedule for this position is traditionally Monday - Friday, First-Shift. However, evenings and weekends may be required so to meet with potential customers. This is all about hard work and building relationships, your success will depend on your availability to meet with clients.

• Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals, including technical specifications, cost breakdowns, and timelines.
• Present proposals to clients and address any questions or concerns.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
• Utilize market insights to adjust pricing strategies and enhance competitive positioning.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and client interactions.
• Generate regular reports on estimation activities, success rates, and market feedback.
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
• Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, considering all relevant factors, including logistics, installation, and maintenance.

Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Drivers' License with a clean driving record over the past 5-years (will drive a company car)
Minimum Experience Requirements:
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales estimating, preferably in the electrical, power generation, or industrial equipment sector.
• Proven track record of successful project estimation and sales
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial generator systems and applications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales estimating, preferably in the electrical, power generation, or industrial equipment sector.
• Proven track record of successful project estimation and sales

Computer Skills:
PC proficiency is required, with experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to use a tablet or laptop computer efficiently.
Reasoning Ability:
Requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Language Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Requires mastery of business English language skills to read, analyze, and interpret information, policies and procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Able to write reports and business correspondence.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands. The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
